We are having a dessert exchange this Thursday Nov. 15th, just to get together and catch up before Fall break and to share delicious homemade desserts. Feel free to bring your own dessert, something from a store, or just yourself, but come join us for some fun! CUWIC will provide drinks.

TIME: 5 - 7 pm (Join us when you can and leave when you must.)

CU Women in Computing will be at the Student Organization and Society Fair on August 18, 1:30-3:30P.M. to welcome new students and share information about the group.

CU ACM-W Chapter of Women in Computing has teamed up with Women in Electrical Computer and Energy Engineering to organize a joint End-of-Semester Breakfast on 22nd April. The theme of the event is "Understanding Current Causes of Women's Underrepresentation in Sciences", based on the recent article by Stephen Ceci and Wendy Williams (http://www.pnas.org/content/108/8/3157.full).

The next upcoming Women in Electrical, Computer, and Energy Engineering meeting is on Monday April 11th in ECEE 1B28 from 5:30-6:30PM! This meeting presents Audrey Rowe (Senior Engineer) and Bhavna Chhabra (Director of Engineering) of Qualcomm. Audrey and Bhavna will discuss Qualcomm’s interests and job opportunities as well as the daily life of a working engineer.
Audrey Rowe has a BS in Computer Science from CU and has been working full time for 8 years (Raytheon and Qualcomm). This semester, she is finishing a master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Bhavna Chhabra has a BS in Computer Science from CU. She worked as a Software Engineer at Quark and has been with Qualcomm since 1998. She leads a team that is part of the Qualcomm Android effort. In the middle of her professional career, she took 2 years off to spend time with her kids.
All students interested in promoting diversity are welcome. There will be refreshments and good company as usual.
